Haven’t done any stilling for a few years, and have about 150 litres of rum wash that’s been sitting in my shed since 2018.
I know there’s been questions asked about washes sitting a long time but couldn’t find anything referring to this length of time.
It’s in an olive barrel with a tight lid but there is a hose for an airlock which has just been hanging down the side.
Nothing growing on top, smells kind of acidic/ carbon dioxidey
What do you all think? Worth a run?

Home made keg based 2 inch pot into 2 inch shotgun
2 inch by 1m column CM reflux w/2 inch shotty RC and PC.

Go ahead and strip it mate to get some low wines for the spirit run, a couple of runs will soon sort it out and ya never know you may get that manky rum lovers just aim for.

If it aint rotten run it. Trust me you will know when any wash is rotten...

Mate if that thing is 4 years old your next door neighbours will know if it's rancid!

A simple test in this situation would be to strip 10-20l and see what comes out.
It might be fine flavour wise, but if humidity has sucked all the booze out, you might only have a 1-2% wash sitting there and kinda pointless running.
In the op's case, as its rum, if it was a low abv, you could potentially re ferment it with some more sugar and or molly - if it didn't kick off with some warm sugar added, some extra yeast wouldn't hurt.
Threw out a 8 yo tpw i found from my first aborted go at distilling, as i poured it the smell was fine n plenty of booze, should have run it.
