This statement came from another distillers site.
Has anyone heard of this Bakers Yeast,or better still :)) used it. supposedly can use it on All Grain and TPW.
Must be awesome supercharged yeast to get close to 20%

"There's a dry yeast called Mauripan that I've had awesome results with back when I was experimenting with yeasts. Comes in a 500g brick, takes 4g of it to ferment 20L of mash & costs around $12. It can get your beer close to 20% over 4 weeks."

Mauripan is exactly the same as Lowans.
It’s packaged and sold by a company called Mauri who are a bakery supply company.
I very much doubt it would get close to 20%

If you stress yeast they will shit in your wash and your distillate will be very average. I suggest not going over 8% wash strength and keep your yeasties happy :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I use nothing but Mauripan fast acting dried yeast. Bought a load in bulk when a mate worked for ambient food company and still have 5.5kg of it to use up.

Activity can be seen within the hour when made up as a starter and it produces the finest neutral compared to anything else I have tried before.
