Raw sugar in tpw

Postby Jimbruzz86 » Wed Mar 02, 2022 5:59 pm

Hello peeps, so decided to change it up and put raw sugar in the same ratios as I do white sugar for my wash this time....figured just experiment a little....noticed the fermentation barrel which is 35litre sitting around 32° but after two days no more gasses etc....still sitting at same temp....thought eh if she is done she is done....figured also it may be slightly different in colour compared to white sugar but it just dosnt seem to be done.....does raw sugar need more yeast ? Checked my white sugar wash I put in my other fermenter same day....still bubling away and sitting at same temps 30-32°....do I need more yeast ????

Final gravity. What gravity did it finish with when measured with hydrometer?

Raw sugar does still have some molasses though. Not ideal for neutral very hard to make neutral when molasses is involved.
