my standard sugar wash...

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Getting back into the game and thought i might share my standard wash...... sorta a Rad's all bran molestation...
Here we go.... sorry if its a bit scattered.....

My Bran / Sugar wash
in largish pot–
4 l water
3 crushed up womens multi vitams – ‘aldi’
200 ml dired yeast
Boil for 10 min.
When boil done add 2l or 525 g ‘just bran’
Pull of heat and mix very well.
In 20 l bucket put 10 kg sugar
And 2 tsp citric acid
Add boiling water and dissolve.
Top up to 15 ish liters with boiling water
Mix very well and let rest for 15 min.
i know i am prob not totally inverting sugar but it makes me feel good.
Both steps can be done at same time.
I fill 30 l boiler with about 25l of water and boil. For this purpose.
You can use left over water to adjust final temp
After every thing is rested add both to fermenter and add cold / left over boiling water to bring total volume up to 50l
Poor every thing from as high as possible to get as much air in the mix, i used to use a fish tank pump and a stone.
Add 2 tsp DAP
Mix well again
Check temp is between 27 to 32 deg
Gently sprinkle ¼ cup yeast on top
Leave un covered for 30 min to 1 hour until you get a really good foam on top
Mix gently then leave un covered for another hour and then put under airlock.....

This have never failed on me. I have measured every thing again as it has been at least 6 months since i have had a wash on. and back then i used to just throw every thing together by rough amounts and it worked. I am aiming at having a fast ferment out to about 1.010 untill it will all settle down and i will the rack off into two 25 l drums and leave to finish / clear over 4 days.....
Degass on 2 day from memory... But as we all know there are alot of variables.
But from what i have learnt as soon as you aim to ferment out to 9% you don’t have to stress to much about infection coz the yeast will generall take it all over if given the proper environment.... Pic and follow up to come....
Havent taken SG yet and prob wont...
Any and all feed back is welcome...

Smae also works for corn flakes or a mix of both....
Yeast is Allied bakers yeast... i get it in a 500 g block for $3.50
