What do people use to store low wines prior to having enough to do a spirit run?
Does anybody use a corny keg and if so do they slightly pressurise the keg to seal the lid?

I just use 50l kegs with aluminium foil for a temporary lid.
good thing about the kegs is no buggering around transferring low wines, just clamp the still on and fire it up. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I use 5-25lt glass demi's ,with a silicone bung and standard airlock with a marble or cap on top, keeps flies and crap out but lets it breath plus I would not like any pressure build up in a glass vessel, the shed can get pretty hot in summer ifn storeing in a place with stable cool temp I probably would not worry about it too much and just bung them or use a coffee filter paper over the top with a lacky band.I believe that allowing it to breath some higher volatiles are given off ,wich makes for a better spirit and I also do the same with voddy or neutral low wines.cheers hillzabilly :handgestures-thumbupleft:
