Hi guys. I am fairly new to disitilling and after doing a few turbo washes then moving on to Tomato Paste washes I have am now just running my first molasses rum wash through the still and have a question about doing a 2nd generation ferment. If I get it run through the still tonight I probably won't get a chance to get a new batch of molasses for another 3 days or so. I am planning on using the lees to get the next ferment going along with some of the backset from this distill and my question is how long can I leave the lees in there for before starting a new wash...will it last a few days like that? should I add some fresh water to it? Should i add some nutrients? Cheers for your help.
