OK, I have bitten the bullet and purchased a still and boiler from 5 Star Distilling now the journey begins.
I am a complete newbie but decided to get a Mac SSG 4 plate bubbler and 50ltr milk can boiler with all accessories
so no upgrading in the future, just gotta learn the process and get there eventually and make Bourbon.
My question is, where do I find some assembly instructions for both as no idea where all the bits go
Maybe if someone could post some closeup pics then I could hopefully work out what goes where :))
Cheers, hope someone can help

Are your plates assembled? See the notch out of the tee that is where the plate sits. Was there an included 100-150mm section with no sight glasd and some copper mesh? If so that is to remo e sulphur. It goes directly on the boiler with the notch out of the inside lip to top. The seals with a ridge go between all the sections and bewtween boiler and section with copper mesh and a triclamp goes around that join and is tightened on. Packed section(500mm long piece pipe if you got that) is not nessacary unless you are doing vodka. Rc (reflux condenser)short piece pipe with smaller pipes inside goes on next with same seals and clamp. Then the 180 degree bend then finall the pc (product condenser) looks like the rc but is longer. Then the water lines get connected to both rc and pc water goes in bottom both out top both. I suggest you have good read of the beginers section especially the safety area and the kiwi stillers guide to cuts. Also check out the cleaning still threads quit few on here..Make sure you leak check before running ethanol. good luck and enjoy your toy

Hi Foxhunter.
I was going to say call me but then I twigged :handgestures-thumbupleft:
So, go to http://www.5stardistilling.com.au/setup
I have uploaded a bunch of pics that should help.
Bluc while trying to help has a few things wrong (a lot actually)
We don't have "notches" in the Tees any more, we use silicone plate seals (the white ones)
The Mac 4 SSG doesn't come with any mesh or the 500mm packed section.
What you will need to do is make sure everything is tight.
Try twisting the sight glass retaining nut to tighten etc
The bubble caps may need a pinch up and when assembling the still make sure the downcommers are on opposite sides (right then left etc)
The pics will make everything clear I hope if not just email me.
cheers
