Calculating the alcohol content of a wash

Postby crow » Tue Apr 10, 2012 10:11 am

Hi I took a specific gravity reading and finish gravity reading of my washes but its been a few yrs since I last made beer and cant remember the formula for calculating the alcohol content  . I was going to buy coopers stout wort just to get the formula but thought thats a bit crazy when there would be plenty of folks on here that would know it . PS Just a thought if I upped the sugar content in a beer or stout brew and distilled it does anyone know how it would taste :D
