pure distilling still

Our still is behaving rather oddly.

It seems to be boiling in the column and the alcohol is streaming out and is very low.

This has happened the last two times we have tried to use it.

any idea what is wrong???

If you can hear bubbling in the colomn then I'd say it's packed too tight. Does the out put slow right up and then flow really fast for a while then slow again? These are also signs of packing too tight.

Best of luck
