hei

- ive made several single malts but I think, for the first time :crying-blue: included too many tails in my last batch. yuk. It has been on oak now for about 2 months .. can I re-run it again through my pot still ? or is it ruined :angry-banghead:

I see you’ve got a pot still, I reckon the oak will carry over if you re run it and taste worse.
I’d suggest leaving it on 10g/L of oak for 6-12 months and it might become the best you’ve ever made :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: push it to back of cupboard and forget it for a year or more. I found blending bad spirit with good spirit made the good spirit bad not the bad spirit good..except when over oaked. Adding new make spirit to over oaked will tone down the oak.. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

OK thanks - well I'm kind of relieved by that advise cause i didn't really want to put it through again !
I have other fish to fry just now anyway so I'll put it back with the others in the queue.
many thanks for saving me a day's work

Definitely park it in the cupboard and forget about it (make sure it's labeled)

I did the same with a tailsy whiskey and it cleaned up quite nicely.

Nope, it's no good. Better send it to me for "safe" disposal. :obscene-drinkingdrunk:
