wash went a bit nuts spat out the airlock sprayed the bathroom and puked out few good handfuls of sticky foamy shit , Do I need to add more yeast back in to this wash

no just clean it up and leave it be

under good conditions yeast pretty much multiplies to "peak mass" level all on it's own then gets down to its job

when you get a big ferment you can rest assured the yeast is very happy and doing it's thing

some use a "blow off" system so there is no clean up
the yeast just gets pushed into a jar / bucket
google yeast blow off and select images for ideas.
but you need a sealed fermenter for it to work

Guess there wasn't much head space in the fermenter before it kicked off? I'd recommend getting a bigger vessel to ferment in - 60L fermenter perhaps? Plenty of room in them, well until you decide to do even bigger batches of course!

yes I,m use to 25 ltr fermenters that hold 30ltrs this one had little room left with 20 ltrs :-P

mate, thing is, generally yeast goes crazy at hot temps/ less so at warm temps/ hardly at all at mild temps/asleep at cold temps...please consider.

A bigger fermenter always helps esp at cleanup time...but helps most only if the startup/peak pressure has been given a proper chance to leave the fermenter as it builds...point is, the more you let the 'air' escape at the start, the more its likely to not puke etc (eg in the subtropics anyway, I leave the lid loose or, at least, not tightened to the point of airlock secured for the first day or two, esp if its a notorious big starter a la DWWG..... or this one apparently ;-) )
