Stupidity and cutting corners

Postby bt1 » Sat May 05, 2012 4:43 pm

Go on belt me!

I ignored the normal cautious test approach and stuffed up. I've never experimented with whole runs previously allways done 1 lt testers even for slight timber changes but not this time...fool!

Just binned 70 lts @ 65% semi aged (to - 6months) stuff cos I bloody well ignored my own test approach.

Straight up as per other threads been using vanilla beans...no issues with beans at all. This stuff with vanilla beans is great.

But had the idea why not use vanilla essence...wrong... It's all gone cloudly, has a taste like a soapy/chemical taste. Brand was Queen Natural Vanilla Extract. Read the label it contain other crap...bit late now!

Rule #1 Experiment with experimental sized samples for any change and then compare/check/taste!

be warned this stuff is no good!

Cheers,
A slighty peeved

Sry to hear that

No I reckon it would pull the flavours through...it's gone ...

It's the 12 plus runs @ 1 per fortnight~ish I really resent..

Thankfully still have the long term stuff ...but got nothing to play with now might as well just write posts for next 6 goddam months..

Thinking of a lonely Distillers thread or ....maybe Gone with the Wind revisited by a distiller???

Cheers
