backset/inverting sugars/grains

Postby bt1 » Mon May 07, 2012 1:22 pm

Hello all,

often wondered if the process step of using backset to invert sugars, adding a little lemon jiuce/citric and softening grains in one step actually changes the backset taste impact. Can't honestly say I've notice myself but being a smoker it would need a better palate than mine.

Any thoughtds on adding backset seperately then?

cheers
