Ok, I tried search but no luck. If these Qs have been answered elsewhere please direct me.

1) Best method to test PH?

2) What equipment / supplies do I need? And best place to purchase?

3) How important is PH testing / how much should I focus on PH as a beginner?[/list]

4) Is there a metric/guide as to what I'm testing for?

Thanks gurus!

I have only ever followed the different recipes here and never had an issue. I dont even bother checking.

However, I have just started a macrum wash and i know after multiple generations i may have ph issues so i will need to invest in a ph tester myself. When that time comes i will get https://5stardistilling.com/product/ph-test-meter/

novice here, but a PH tester has been a handy instrument.
i had some trouble with molasses washes, especially when adding dunder.
i usually check the PH of my FFV wash just before i add citric acid.
most PH meteres are ok, you get what you pay for.
main thing is that i keep the 3 x sample PH solutions in sealed jars, so i can quickly calibrate the PH meter.
i just have a cheap $20aud meter.
it's a handy tool to have, but use it less and less as i (hopefully) hone my novice skills.
