Distilling to remove infusion

Hey guys,

A neutral spirit was distilled and then infused with kaffir lime leaves in the thumper.

The flavour is not that great. Too much bitterness from the leaves.

If the spirit was added back to the boiler and re-distilled would that be an effective way to extract the alcohol leaving behind the flavour inclusion or is it too far gone to save?

Yes but only via reflux not a pit still
