Wine bottles for product storage.

I have a load of wine bottles that I have been storing my finished drinkable product in thinking that they would be ok to store 40% abv in. I’m now thinking wine being around 14% abv, the seals in the caps might not be safe to be in contact with 40% abv. For a quick easy fix, I was thinking of getting a non stick bbq liner (made from PTFE) and cutting discs to fit in the cap to isolate the alcohol from the cap seals. I’ve read here somewhere that PTFE is used on thread joins on some stills. What are the thoughts of you more experienced guys?
Or would corks be a better option?
It’s just that I have a heap of wine bottles and makes sense to utilise them.

I use wine bottles if i dont have any spirit bottles spare, i just take the seal out and use the lid without one.

I use wine bottles as well. I did look into the seals.
I took the seals out of a wine bottle and a spirit bottle and they look the same?
I also have a lot of of those small 300ml bottles with the soft drink seal. I have been using wine bottle lids on them for sample bottles. I am slowly gaining a stash of spirit bottles though.
