Turbo packs

Postby Hick1960 » Sun Nov 21, 2021 6:25 am

Hey guys,
I have 2 turbo production packs I purchased before finding this site and realising there are better options, that I want to use up. I plan on stripping both washes through my pot still then running them slowly through my reflux, doing cuts the best I can.
My questions are should I water them down to well below 40% say 20%?
Will stripping them and watering down a lot clean it up?
And would I need to run them through the ez filter that came with the still?
I’m trying to avoid using this filter as it’s plastic.

40% is the normal for dilution for re distillation and good cuts will (should) eliminate the need for filtering.

Going back to 20% will filter more of the nasty flavours out, going back to 15% will break up a few more formed esters/crap, you will end up with a longer run or a slightly lower abv output though. Flavour and abv are 2 different things when talking purity.

100% ditch the plastic filter.

The carbon will clean up booze, learning your cuts well and reprocessing the feints will mitigate the majority of what it dose - turbo is still turbo - turd polishing lols.

Thanks guys. I’ll water it right back, run it and try to recover something half decent I can flavour. Or clean the windows with it. :))
