Hello, I am thinking of getting an Air Still just for pure convenience to to test out some various aging. Has anyone tried these https://www.vevor.com.au/water-distille ... d4QAvD_BwE over against the Still Spirits Air Still?

Cheers

You can NOT temperature control a still and 750w :angry-banghead:
A genuine SS air still is 300w or something and could be slowed down

What about any of the others In this range? Some of them are just on/off, would that work for running gin through? Or is 750 watt just too high for distilling, or need to be on a voltage controller?

Like I said , the original is 300w and runs a bit too fast.
So any of these 750w will run way too fast for anything other than stripping runs.

They blow vapour out. Put it on a voltage controller. I seperated the condenser fan and element so fan stayed on flat out and element was controlled. Mine has a cable linking boiler and fan. Just means two cables instead of one. It boils fast.
Only use it for gin maybe once a year...

The water distiller also has a chlorine vent which must be sealed to prevent ethanol vapour escaping through it.

I have a Still Spirits Air Still and a power controller.
What power % would you recommend for a sugar wash?

Of greater importance is water purification air stills may not be able to handle volatile alcohol, they have synthetic seals and lids that could be bought out into the alcohol.
Only use air stills, designed to run with alcohol to be safe.
