Cask wine

Postby Feelgood » Sun Jun 19, 2022 7:09 pm

I am starting out with a few casks. $9 for 4litres.
Do I need to do cuts like normal washes and throw out first 150ml?
Also separating heads and tails and only keeping hearts.

I used to do that when I couldn't ferment anything, bloody horrible stuff but it definitely does the job.
I used to call it super goon, I always took out the fire shots but didn't bother taking cuts, I tried it a few times but there was never anything particularly good in it so I stopped trying to find it.

Ive still got one bottle left of it, just to remind me of what I never want to make again. :))
