there's another cornflake whiskey recipe floating around (Odin) so i arrived at these amounts.....
1 kg cornflakes
1 x 250gm box of original ryvita
3.5kg sugar (i will probably use 4kg next time)
18 l water
5l backset
50gms lowans bakers yeast (sometimes yellow angel)
pinch of epsom
enough citric acid to bring PH down to 5.8-6.0
ie don't just put put recipe amounts of acid in, test your water first (esp if using acidic backset)
i still have some on oak in glass that's 15 months old.

So you stripped one then added both for a slow spirit run? Or stripped both?
I’ve got a FFV going now and planning a cornflake brew next (got some cracked corn for the chooks) just wondering about the best method!
Cheers

Thanks heaps for all the comments, some really good info there :handgestures-thumbupleft:

You could let it go longer if you want to squeeze a bit more out but you could run it now. It's a trade off of how much more you will get out of it v how much longer you want to wait.
How does it taste ? If there is no sweetness then run it.
