First still build

Postby nuckles » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:21 am

I have read as many posts as I could and have decided on making a 2" boka.

I have a 50l keg boiler, been given about 1.5m 2" copper pipe.

Lets start with what I think I need

ferrule and tri clamp for connection to keg.
just above halfway up I want it to come apart so 2x ferrule and tri clamp
The plates I will try to make with scrap.
I have a 2" cap and need to get 1/4" tube for the condenser( will try refrigration place )
needle valve.

I have not thought of the take off tube yet but lets get the tower made first.

So some pics to come.

Any advice, places to buy ect.

Thanks
cameron

I would use 3/8 tube for the take off, so you'll use a 3/8 needle valve with compression fittings.... 3/8 allows a faster take off rate if you want to use it in pot still mode.

ferrules & clamps you can get off 5Star

valves from mrs mac

Have fun :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yes this might go on hold for awhile. Let bank balance recover. Still will build though.
