Postby bt1 » Sat Oct 27, 2012 6:55 am

Howdy new members,

So you've been reading for a while, got a few ideas together but haven't got a start yet?

Want to glaze up at the Xmas fairy in awe drinking your own made quality drop with friends and family?

Got an opportunity to say to mates on boxing day, yeh it's not bad hey...I made it!

Get posting..time is running out for Xmas...No such thing as a dumb question just some better researched.

Get a start, get sourcing parts, take the plunge!

We don't bite so ask away!

A no build weekend, bored shitless

very true bt...newcomers beware of the copper abis, a place you never come back...copper addiction. Once you build one well you just to build one better and better. Be bold and dare to tread where other may not, this is the way to true self satisfaction. :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Due to "legal" restrictions under anti hoon legisaltion the answer is no

But I've legally (my name) had:

2003 sp2( castrol kit, Akopovic full titanium, power commander and power shifter, factory heads (Colin Edwards version) 112KW approx)
2000 VTR1000
1998 VTR1000
Ducati 851
Ducati 888 P.O.S.
Yamaha TRX850
plus about 3 or 4 more dating back to the Yamaha 650 twin with a 850 kit

Raced for several years... avg at best but enjoyable.

cheers

Sheesh you like your V-twins... I am a four cylinder person myself, have previously had a bunch of 250s, then CBR600F3, GSXR600, ZX6R, ZX7R, GSXR1000, ZX10R... Currently have a 2005 ZX10R with a full Yoshi kitt, and a GSXR600K1 (track bike)... The SP2 colin edwards version is one of my five dream bikes, rode the standard edition once, found it a bit low on power but still great to ride, awesome front end...

Hey bt1 had some good mates use to race and my great uncle use to back in the old rolly park days. He built a bike called the Veebeam you might have heard of it. it was unbeatable back in its day, It was in the Birdwood mill got a funny felling its on loan in a motor bike specific museum ATM it was a 1300cc VW motor in a sunbeam frame built in the late 50s or
early 60s it chugged along :icon-lol: . Anyway rang him up acidentally couple of yrs ago(uncle and great uncle have he same name) asked what he was upto he said just come back from big ride polly his last big one. Ride! oh is this great uncle Keith , yep, oh ok where did ya ride to,( get this) upto Maree up the Oonadatta track and back down he stuart Hwy    the man's about ninety, this is my grandfathers brother for fuck sake, hell yeah hope I'm that fit at his age

Got a deal from a mate on a Ducati Diavel a few weeks ago. Loving it. Not sure how long I will keep it, think I will sell it and move on again soon.
