Wash & Run spreadsheet

Postby CH3CH2OH » Fri Feb 27, 2015 12:49 pm

I put this excel spreadsheet together to help me keep track of wash recipies and the distilling runs of the wash.

Sheet 1 is the wash/mash ingredients
Sheet 2 is the distillation run of the mash

I print sheet 1 on the front of the page and sheet 2 on the back and file it into a binder and fill them out with a pen as I go. A little overkill but helps in the learning phase of what you made and how it turned out and you always have it to look back on months or years down the road.

Not sure if anyone can use them but here they are.

My profession requires a lot of documentation so i guess im a creature of habit!!

Modify them to your needs

Good stuff mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I keep notes on all of my washes/runs/ageing in a little black book, each batch is numbered differently so I can go back and work out what I'm drinking if I find a bottle marked '#013' or whatever ;-)

once you get a good handle on your rig and recipes that you regularly run they are pretty consistent but nice to have a record if experimenting with a new recipe or tweaking things.

It can be nice to look back on things after it has been on oak for a year or so and know what you did or tweaked!!
