Safety Information Guidelines For All Distillers

I have complied some more information and converted it to PDF for you to download and save to your computer, they are only very small files, so they wont take up very much of your data allowance, and should take less than a minute to download so you can read them at your leisure. Download them while making your favourite beverage, then come back and have a read, because this information just may save your life, or the lives of your friends & families.

May I suggest this be made a sticky at the top of this thread...?

dont get complacent. i am smart enough to always have a fire extinguisher near the still. could have been worse.

when you do something stupid, expect to get punished. :D

Geez mate! This just illustrates the possible risk involved in operating a still, I think I might do up a take 5 notepad for us distillers to do before a run... nah fuck it i'll just get another beer. :teasing-neener:

Risk is real though and the correct measures to reduce the risk do have to be considered at least.

told him the truth...i was transferring fuel! i waited 2 days, hoping i wouldn't have to go to the dr.It kept getting worse, ended up having to go. :handgestures-thumbdown:

small product leak, thought i was watching it close enough, wiping,drying,ect...but those bubbles were mesmerizing! got lax, got burned.

no, it didn't "tickle" :laughing-rolling:
thanks for the well wishes, but really posted so you could laugh at me, and learn from my error in judgment.

Not real good Tickle but at least you are here to tell the tale. A seal on my little stove failed in service and it roared like a jet engine twice before I got it under control...scared the shyte out of me to the point I needed a partner to sit with me while using boiler...I've only just got over the fear that episode instilled into my thick head.

Gonna be a while before all healed, but most of the blisters have come off, so far no infection :handgestures-thumbupleft:
