Throughout my bartending career I have made ample lolly flavoured vodkas, I found though that they brought lots of shit with it to give you a hangover.

These days I try fresh fruit, dried fruit, edible essential oils, dried herbs..

You can make amazing flavours really by macerating anything in high grade alcohol.

As for the lollies, toffeeapples candy work very well, choco soldiers, skittles, fizzers, those smiley thigns you get from the school canteen. war heads.

Try chocolate and chilli, lemon and honey, tomato, basil and cracked pepper.

Yum.

I think 'worthers originals' would work well.

Gave Werther's a go today.... Not what I was hoping for, more of a cream liqueur than a butterscotch schnapps, tastes okay thouigh. I fitst put 6 of em into the big granite mortar and pestle and made a powder. Had to add more and think I got to a dozen or more of those suckers for 700ml. They disolved well as a powder but you don't get that nice clear golden colour of bs schnapps .
Cheers

Well worth a try I suppose, there's a watermelon chuppa chup that I think might be ok too.

Just put down 4 chupa chup flavours as an experiment:

Strawberry Cream
Orange
Cola
Vanilla Chocolate
I'll chuck up (not the best phrasing) the results and piccy's once they're dissolved and coloured :banana-rainbow:

I tried some watermelon Chupa Chups x3 in 500ml and it tasted like crap with little flavour coming through.
For the price of the lollies I would rather buy some fruit from the local market and do it proper :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Im still tempted to try the redskin one though...

Redskin vodka is a tried and true recipe, lots of friends of mine always smuggle extra bottles of vodka from Vietnam, (because its so cheap) and do a few bottles of redskin. always a winner.

Ok, I'm quite lolipopped up :))

Image

Had a go of them straight and mixed with lemonade, they seem to have more of a kick than usual, might be the sugar, fark knows haha :))

ok, strawberry was ok, very subtle even when straight, mixed it was pretty good, I'd imagine the girly's would go nuts ofer the colour of this'n

Orange was not nice straignt, it seemed to be quite bitter, mixed it was alright, had a very nice belch aftertaste :))

Chocolate Vanilla, subtley white chocolatey straight, undectable mixed

Cola, now this was some descent stuff, was quiet nostalgic on this, tasted just like the coke bottle lollies as a kid, not bad stuff.

Probably should have done this sober but fuggit  done

I would think Tic Tacs would be a good one to try.

Now that I think about it, there is lolly shop on the Rocko foreshore Mac that has just about everything you can think of, its a fairly small shop, but its loaded with things to try with Vodka. Wish I had of known before I came home, I'm sure I remember seeing the old Hersheys bars in there as well.
