Rather impressed with myself.....

So this may be old news to some, but I had a bit of a plan for some lolly water (alcopop)

So I made a TPW wash, and passed it through the air still for a 40% spirit. I used the carbon filter to take the taste out of it.

I took a 19L home brew keg and put 1.5 l of brickfords lemon, lime and bitters cordial on 12l of water. I chilled this and gassed it.

I then added 4l of 40% filtered spirits to the keg and chilled and gassed that too.

I am very impressed with the result which is an 8%? (I think) delicious drink that my partner (who swore she would never drink my distillate) really enjoys.

We have ~18l of alcopop on tap, cost was negligible and taste is deceptive (tastes like a soft drink with a slight vodka twang)

This may be a well worn path, but I just thought I would share that this process works a treat if you have someone who likes alcopops in summer.

It does taste quite nice, but it am sticking with my rum that gets better every day, I bought a malted barley cereal today. I am going to try a whiskey style brew next.

This is just so great after paying $18 for a 4 pack of alcopop.

Hey Chips,
Yes I know this is a reply 5+yrs after your original post & hoping you are still in this forum.
That sounds awesome for an on tap premix drink & the bickfords range of cordials are always amazing for flavour :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Hope you're still making your own lolly water for the missus & rum for yourself :handgestures-thumbupleft:
