You said your missus tried some at a bbq, I would be going to the source, I mean the person she tried it from try and price the recipe from them. :D

:text-+1: i think vodka ice tea is a very generic term
i think there are a few brands of ice tea flavoured vodka, but my suggestion would be to make ice tea and add vodka and lemonade.
ice tea is made with normal tea bags, boiling water, a ton of sugar (and a decent amount of lemon juice for lemon iced tea) then it gets refrigerated to cool down. add lemonade and vodka. in asia they often add mint as well for a refreshing hit :handgestures-thumbupleft:

EDIT- here is a recipe http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/ ... ade-353869

I've infused black tea into vodka, it's pretty good stuff on a load of ice, cube or two of mango and/or a squeeze of fresh lemon/lime.

Just thought I'd add that it may be better to infuse the dilution water for 3 min while hot and dilute some aezo with that once cooled.

This should avoid the bitter tannins coming out of the tea soaking in the spirit and needing to add a heap of sugar to balance it
