Hi all

Anyone used the smaller scale alcometers that are floating about? The Ukraine place sells them, as well as a bunch of China ones.

My eyes are a little bit shit and something that is a little easier to read would be nice :-B :-B :-B .... I find the normal alcometers a pretty much impossible to read under 40% (on the odd occasion where such low readings a required)

Some China ones:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-Hydrometer ... 2594e958bc

0-40, 40-70 and 70 - 100

Or Ukraine ones:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-ALCOHOLMET ... 27e5e51d3f

0-12, 0-80 and normal 0-100

Any experiences with them?

Ive got one like the 40 to 70 one but it may go lower than 40. Got it from a HBS so i could do more accurate watering down to 40% but now i dont care, all an approximate now :)) . Barely use it but might be handy i suppose. Ive got it put away and forgotten about

I bought China and Ukraine sets .... See if there is any difference in accuracy.

And I'll no doubt fat finger and break them :teasing-tease:

Hey Timboss,
I was just wondering what you thought of the Chinese and Ukraine alcometers?
Plan on getting another one soon and was looking at the same sets.

Any feedback would be great
Cheers,
Mud

Hey mate

Found them both to be pretty good. Many people have used Ukraine ones with success, it's the china ones I was concerned about, but found them as accurate as anything else I've used.

I especially like the smaller scale ones.
