Leaving pump submerged?

Hi all

Got myself an IBC and Ozito pump on the weekend so not more dumping a shit ton of fresh water down the drain during the run.

Just a question - what do you guys do with your pumps, leave them submerged all the time or remove them between runs? Couldn't find anything in the manual about not leaving it submerged, but unsure whether it would reduce it's life by doing so.

Cheers

It should be ok to leave it in as that is what they are for.
but I don't have one to look at so yeah.

Virtually all of them are designed to live submerged.
They wont deteriorate under water.
A little swimming pool conditioner in the water tank also helps.

I used to leave it in, but they get gunked up pretty quick. I take it out now, mostly because it is easy to do so.

Not sure it makes a difference though

Thanks guys! I'll just leave it in and I'll chuck some pool conditioner in there as well.

Cheers
