Ran this this morning, forgot about it for a while. Single pass through the bubbler, kept 1L hearts@92% letting it air for a while before watering down to 65%, only differance I can tell so far is the smell of the Dunder :think:

First Rum run after winter will be Googes recipe, kale is free, grows like a weed in my garden. Will try this, then with dap, etc and do a comparison :-B

I put it down to the yeast, only yeast Ive tried that worked well with rum has been bakers yeast. Ill stick with it from now on I think. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I think you have to run a rum wash warm to get full flavour.

Hey Bluc, stick your finger in the wash, then let it dry.

If it's not sticky, it's cooked.....run it Brother :happy-partydance:

Whats the average fermentation times of Rum?

I'd expect the summer times to be quicker than winter times, but how long does it usually take?

As a general rule mine is done in 2-3 days using bakers yeast @ 35-40', seems to slow down at gen 4

Thats very interesting, what molasses you using?

Fancy bunderberg molasses. Remember reading a post by Mac that fancy was a slower ferment :think:

Thanks woodsy checked it today and its done ended at 1.040 but deffinately not sticky. Also justy realised I was in the wrong thread thought this was rum chat sorry googe :oops:

Just pulled this out and had a taste, and its Rum, cant taste the Kale. Side by side comparison with a single gen MacRum I cant taste the difference, only a week apart in age on American oak :handgestures-thumbupleft:
