Worst case, get a drill bit just the right size and start wiggling in circles

I ended up finding a punch that fit inside the tube and gave it a few whacks with a hammer. Annealed, whacked, annealed whacked. This got me close, so then just used pliers to gently flare out the last bit to get a snug fit. Soldered up fine, not pretty, but no leaks
