Thus far I have had three pumps fail.
The last two were these cheap ebay submersible pumps:

They were $12 pre-covid19 price increases.
Yeah but what is the damn root cause of the three pump failures! damn rust! Yeah the internal rotor metal layers rusted causing a clog between the magnets and rotor.
Whatever 12v pumps I select next, they need to either feature anti-corrosion internal metals or be submersed in a anti-corrosion solution post run.
With humidity been 70-90% lately, flash rust is real. I have performed tests on various metals dipped in acid then left to dry. Yeah flash rust appears within minutes.
Car coolant should be suitable to place the pumps in post distilling, then flush it out before the next run.
