literally onto the 30page post regarding this lol . So the cereal adds nutrients and grain flavour? obviously being a pot still i retain some flavour and i do like my Whiskey. As a side question would it matter too much where during the ferment you add this? I assume nutrient helps yeast do get it done, but does it aid the yeast in the other stressers like alch% and heat?

Welcome lockmonkey.

Definitely go with something like WBAB instead of TPW in your air still. If you're going to have flavour carry over, and you probably will, it might as well be a tasty grain one rather then a tomato whisky one!

Cheers,
Prof, Green.

lol, yeah the tomato whiskey doesn't sound great..... maybe more of a rum :P

i was wondering if you didn't have the nutrients on hand when you send the sugar wash on its way can you add them after the fact? or if the wash stalled could you then add and repitch?

not that i am planning this but i also don't want to overthink things :)

also is DAP a contentious topic? local homebrew store personnel was anti it due to "chemicals"..... and i totally get that, but is it actually bad or just they were trying to impart their views more so then my health risk
