G'day, I'm Mick.... South East QLD - Logan Bogan. :music-deathmetal:

Just made my first "turbo wash" and sounds like it will be my last ... Hello TPW. That shit blows my mind....

So, yep first timer. Been reading for hours today. And so much more to go.... :-B

This forum is amazing. Thanks for the wealth of info. If only I found it before I bought my T500 right ...

G'day mate, welcome. Ditch the plastic outlet hose along with the turbo too.
Have a read through the newbies corner for running your t500 properly and especially for cuts.
Good luck and have fun :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Haha thanks guys,

Yeah still getting my head around it all. Actually I hate beer so it's kind of an ironic handle. The Mrs is from Indonesia, it's actually their word for 'diamond' aka 'diamond brand beer'.

I prefer a scotch/whiskey/bourbon but whatever is cheapest to be honest ;p I've never been a fan of beer or wine and the spirit habit is expensive.

I'd love to have a nice selection of liquors on hand, a few cheaper brown spirits and then some nice oak-chip ones for the top-shelf.

I'll get another fermenter and smash out my 'turbo' supplies then start with a tomato paste wash :) Then all-bran and weetbix etc.. (I love the idea of these)... I just gotta work out this cutting business, heads n hearts n tails .... Sounds simple enough but I don't know if my nose & taste buds are up to it. I'll just take my time and work on it I guess.

Thanks for the welcome & I'll be back to write about my trials and tribulations.

Cheers,
Bintang.

It all gets easier with experience.cuts that is.
I thought the first drip from my still (a rum wash) smelt amazing, now the same smell turns my stomach.

Once you can pick the cut points, the taste of each gets more pronounced each time you do a run.

Only downside is you get more fussy with store bought. I have bought one bottle rum since starting in this hobby :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Have a think about whipping up a simple pot still to use on your existing boiler, to try some of the sugarheads and compare to your essences :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Welcome Mick, have a crack at the BWKO recipe. It's fool proof pretty much and you will blow them away down woodridge ways :laughing-rolling:
