Hi there,
I've had two stainless kegs in shed here in Perth for 20 years and finally thought I should do something with them or get rid of them!
So here I am.
Lots of good ideas here to be sure.
I mostly like Rum and Gin which seem to require different stills. My understanding is a a scrubber filled reflux tube is best for gin and vodka, and a pot still is best for rum, but I like the idea of building a flute mainly because they look great!
So many ideas, so I guess just start of small and cheap.

If your building a bubbler you won't need a separate reflux still just a packed section to put on top :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Those glasses look interesting. What type of glass are they? You want to make sure they can handle the temp changes, you don't want one cracking mid run. You want borosilicate glass.

With a name like bubble cups you have to build a bubble cap bubbler.
You can use that one still to make your rum and gin.

I think maybe a flute with stuffed section might be the way to go.

I thought because the lenses were designed for stage lamps they may be able to handle it. Borosilicate isn't mentioned but they seem like good quality and they'd look cool with the magnification. No idea how to mount them yet though.

Honestly I don’t think the magnifying is a good idea, it’s hard enough to see into a sight glass still as they are.
But that’s just me coming from the wonderful world of a glasser :teasing-neener:
