Hello Everyone!

Bought a T500 some months ago and that was the start of what I hope will be a long and detailed learning experience. Already learned a lot of noob lessons, still lots to go I expect, it helps having a lot of collected wisdom and a whole diversity of opinions on the forums here to learn from and I thank all of you for that.

I did 3 turbo washes (what came with the kit) before moving on to TPW's. About 6 of those and I'm making very drinkable neutral now. Hands down, even with the decrease in quantity, quality is so much better if there's no "turbo" anywhere near the ferment, simpler and much more cost effective as well!! Going to play with Weet-bix & All Bran after the 2 current TPW's are through the boiler.

Next step is the pot still head and a bunch more learning. I hope that with what I learn and can glean from the collected knowledge here, I will then have a lead on what equipment I need to suit my purposes.

My aim is to get to where I can make a decent rye and corn/rye and play with ageing/blending, all purely for the benefit of me and my family's taste-buds.

I'd say wish me luck but having lurked here for a while, I know everyone does so already.

Thanks one and all! You'll see me around! :text-thankyoublue: :obscene-drinkingdrunk:

@Witzend!

Welcome :handgestures-thumbupleft: sounds like you will eventually need a pot still or bubbler if you going to be making brown spirits..

Welcome and best of luck learning the craft! :greetings-waveyellow:
The wbab is said to make a nice drop... personally I've only used the tpw recipe, but I'm by no means a expert of vodka either.

I certainly say it does! I much prefer it to TPW.

Yeah it's been on my list of things to brew and compare too... seem to have got stuck on doing brown spirits for some time now. The sound of a slightly grainy vodka does sound appealing compared to a slightly tomato paste flavour.
