Just started looking for info on distilling alcohol.
I usually drink bourbon, but not fussy, thinking of starting off with a neutral spirit.
I want to buy a boiler and still, seems like I will going down the reflux road, any advice welcomed.

Hi and :text-welcomewave: Pauldo

Well, you've certainly come to the right place. There's heaps of great info here.

Check out the Newbies Corner http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewforum.php?f=57, it's a great place for beginners to start.

Hi mate, welcome.

If your a whiskey drinker go for a pot still. The cordials they use to flavour neutral are pretty hit and miss and I think they taste fake as hell. Use one of the sugar head recipes from the tried and proven like BWKO or CFW and you'll be happy with those results.

Welcome to AD mate.

:text-+1: on what woodduck said. If you're looking to make bourbon, you're much better off with one of the cereal based washes and a pot still than flavouring neutral.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
