Hi everybody,
My name is Matt, I live in south East Queensland and have been home brewing for a few years now and have always wanted to progress into distilling.
I have recently purchased a Pure Spirits distilling kit.
This kit is very similar to the Turbo 500 systems but Australian owned and made. I thought that was better to support an Australian business.
I do have plans to upgrade in the future to a better reflux system, but for now, while I'm a total newby, it would be a good option to get into distilling. I have done a couple of runs, sticking to their recipes and instructions to the letter.
I am going to try some tomato paste sugar washes soon to see the difference. Eventually moving to partial grains etc. I'm very much looking forward to the journey.
The group has been so interesting so far, reading the different posts and recipes.
Thank you for accepting me into the group and am excited to develop my skills and knowledge in the world of distilling.
Regards all
Matt
