hi everyone
i have been using the T500 for a couple of years trying recipes for different washes.i have fruit trees in my garden so make wine which also goes through the still if the missus doesnt give her slurp of approval
i started off using hbs flavours but i am trying to bring flavours of the wash/wine through the still.to make this easier i am planning to step up to a four plate bubbler on a 50l boilier as soon as possible.
quickest thing drunk in family is lemonchello sweetened with erythritol [got to stay away from sugar :naughty: ]
most flavour through T500 has been apricot brandy
my favourite is my apple pie shine warmed up before drinking :-D
most trouble keeping fermenting a multi generation rum [i think its the ph  ]
i am looking forward to trying more recipes and soaking up knowledge
thanks in advance

Welcome. Yea gens can be a pita. I had lots issues with grain based sugarhead whiskey found it was due to an infection most likely brett. Sanitise with star san put me back on track.
If its ph some calcium carbonate can help. And a ph meter of course.

Welcome wot.
Give Andrew at 5 star a call as once you explain what you really want a pot may be enough for you.
Having said that I started with my 4 inch pot and upgraded after a year, I was always leaning that way just could not justify the big outlay as a first time distiller.
I do love my 4 plate 4 inch bubbler now I have it
Oh and get used to conflicting advice :laughing-rolling:
