Hi all
I’m another who jumped into this hobby without much research. I purchased a turbo 500 after sampling some product a cousin made with it. I actually thought it tasted ok and have since produced some fair neutral. Mainly used essences so far but have soaked some neutral in wood and made up some of my own infusions. All been drinkable.
Been reading posts here for a few weeks now and have already learnt so much.
Today made up a TPW wash using McStlls recipe. Bubbling away now after just an hour. Will let it do its stuff for a week or two or however long it takes to clear up. Looking forward to trying it after all the positive posts about it.
I’ve just finished a Liebig condenser build and looking forward trying other washes other than neutral. I just have to get some 2” copper pipe to make the column and attach it to my turbo boiler. I was thinking about a 600mm column. Would that be long enough?
