New to Distilling. Got a Turbo 500 w/ copper Condenser. On day 6 of a Turbo 6 classic yeast wash (that came with the kit) :teasing-tease: . Waiting for it to clear. I've done a boatload of research, so I'm feeling reasonably confident It won't be gross. Only time will tell. Looking forward to learning more about the craft from my Aussie Comrades ;)

Welcome Jason
Heaps of information here mate, and plenty of experience guys who are happy to share.
You may think some on here are unfairly anti turbo yeast. It is more that they have had much better results with the washes here in the tried and true section. You will also find those washes are a lot cheaper as all the ingredients are available in the super market
I can strongly recommend the WBAB ( wheat bix all bran ) wash for a lovely vodka , and lots recommended the TPW ( tomato paste wash ) for a clean neutral through a reflux still
Good luck mate and ask any questions as they crop up

Welcome to AD mate.

There is much truth in the above. I can also recommend WBAB as a good base for vodka.

There's heaps of good info info in Newbie's Corner but since you're using a T500, have a read of this to get you started down the path of getting the best out of it.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.

For all that is holy - never make that again. A bit longer time and ferment and you can have clearer- cleaner ferment. .

Turbo is NO NO - uggh .

What are you trying to make? Happy to help out .
