Welcome Ravenman
Since this is your first post I’ve moved it here to the welcome centre.
And to answer the question, yes, a little tape will fix the issue .
Cheers, enjoy your stay

DA, not totally sure what's in blu-tack, but im pretty sure i wouldn't want it in my booze, get some tape?
Found this..
" Although the exact recipe for blu-tack is a trade secret, we can work out roughly what's in it: a combination of synthetic rubber compounds and mineral oil, along with mineral fillers and pigments"

The port is only on the water out jacket, nowhere near the grog :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yep, but only when I'm running too much water through. Turning it down so it doesn't leak has not in 10 or so brews caused over-heating.
For me it seems that adjusting the flow so that the water spirals its way down the outlet hose rather than trying to keep the outlet hose full'ish is a good starting point.
I find that the flow adjustments I have to make to keep within 55-60C, changes only the thickness of the water spiral.
I will be following "Running a T500, the Proper Way" next run at 45-50C and am very interested to see how this increased flow affects the spiral...

I have a bigger problem with the tubing coming off the outlet connector when I increase water flow, but I only do that when I am looking to top up stripped 92% with water, to drop ABV in boiler!!!!
