I just use moccono jars then when doing cuts and leaving it overnight just take off the plastic seal off the lid to let air in for the angel share and to keep the bug's out, for doing small test macerations the big moccono jars are the go aswell.

Same , but start asking friends now to start saving jars of any type as well as bottles.
Go back to the early days (of the forum) and guys were using stubbies as collection/cut jars

I use corona 355ml bottles, fill them to about the shoulder with 250ml they do the job cheaply.

Wish i could go back in time and keep all my tequila and bourbon bottles… I’d be set! :violence-smack:

Do the glass sight towers with bubble plate do anything functionally or are they just awesome to look at? Also considering a parrot, is it worth it for the convenience of keeping an eye on your abv? Could imagine pouring samples into the test tube getting annoying quick.. how often should you be checking?

The glass looks amazing mate, that is why I went that way rather than the stainless.

The parrot I find handy but it can add to smearing if it is not drained after each sample, I take 300 ml cuts so not an issue for me.

The biggest issue I think you will have is weight on the digiboil, with only a litre in it they can be unstable and tople over if weight is not directly above the boiler. The thin lid can also flex , a lot , and the extra weight of the parrot may be an issue. I would ask Stig before setting your heart on one :)

If you’re asking about the 2” no they do bugger all.
4” is another story and a completely different setup

Oohhhh interesting, I didn't even think about weight being an issue.. is it the same with the t500 boiler or is it just the digi a bit more on the flimsy side?

Both are very similar in their construction
