Just starting out from the GC

Hey Everyone

I'm new to the game, I've been madly reading thread after thread on the forum for the last few weeks. It led me to calling Andrew before investing in some gear, which was the best thing I did. Had a great chat and I was sold on the Boka 2" with pot head option, picked it up this morning. Any other newbies out there who are still deciding on what hardware to buy, I highly recommend contacting Andrew.

The content on here is amazing and I can't wait to get started. Put my first wash in today. Would also like to thank Carol who's thread on the Boka 2" helped solidify my choice of gear.
Hopefully I'll chat with more of you soon as I start my journey into the HB spirit world.

Cheers
Tim

Welcome aboard tjx
Like me sounds like you are one of the lucky ones who spoke with Andrew before spending. He gives homes no pressure answer and the 5 star gear sells itself. I hope you have a big shed, lots of jars, and understanding missus and enjoy reading. It is truely astounding what can be achieved with the help of the guys on here.
You have a hell a journey ahead mate so have lots of fun and ask questions.

Thanks Wellsy. I have a shed big enough to fit 7 cars so I'm sorted there. My wifes loves gin so she;ll be happy and I love to learn and read when it's something that interests me, which this certainly does. I've already made my first mistake, didn't add cold enough water to the wash and already had the yeast putched ready to go. Couldn't get the wash to go below 34 degrees, so I've got it in the bedroom with air con blasting at the moment to get the temp down so I can add the yeast. I'll definitely be asking plenty of questions.
