Hi everyone, Not completely new to distilling but haven't done any for over ten years, so may as well resign myself to being a newbie.
I started out 20 odd years ago with a 5 litre boiler and a super reflux column still. Made some decent brews but for one reason or another drifted away from distilling.
I was thinking about getting back into it and joined this forum just before Christmas.
I visited my local home brew shop and was amazed how much things and hardware had changed.
Anyhow, my good wife gave me a Pure Distilling reflux still for Christmas so now I am back into it. I have completed two brews (both turbo's) and was very surprised how effortless the process is and how well the results turned out.
I was also given an Alcoengine Pot Still but am yet to try it out.
I have been reading posts on this forum and have found some very useful info.
No doubt I will have lots of questions so please bear with me.

Welcome Tom.

You've come to the right place for good advice so when you're ready, ask away but I'd be surprised if most of the questions you have haven't already been answered somewhere here.

I can recommend having a go at one of the wash recipes from the tried & proven section, you'll get much better results than with the turbo.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
