Thanks McStill,

So how do I get the temps to stop bouncing? Will filling it up more sort that out? Will making my column taller help stabilize the temps?

What about my 2nd prboblem, any suggestions there?

Mate if you post your dramas in a thread here you'll get help, but I'm not going to start bouncing over to HD to answer peoples questions here ;)

edit: I'd say you just havnt put enough in your boiler, and that has caused all your problems.

No probs, totally understandable. I'll post the same here and see what else I get, but I'll be sure to always fill the boiler at least half-way in the future. Thanks again.
