Wanted - Mangrove Jack 60mm lid

Postby Commune » Mon Jan 21, 2019 3:02 pm

Hi, I was given a beer boiler, mangrove jack, that i want to use with my Pure distilling reflux column. Problem is there is a 47mm hole in the lid and the column is about 60mm. My local brew shop is looking for a replacement lid but can't find one at the moment.

Can anyone offer a suggestion of where i could get one or if anyone in Melbourne has a spare I'd be happy to buy it?

TIA

Hi, I used a dremel tool to grind a bigger hole in my lid from a no name 25L boiler. This was to fit a 2 inch ferrule adaptor. HBS stores sell lids as well for boil a beer boilers with 60mm holes but you are looking at approx. $45

Unfortunately they have dimpled the lid so i cant open it up or it wont seal. I did notice kegland have a blank lid. This might be an option. Cheers guys.

So we are allowed to talk about kegland but not the other keg based homebrew company that was managed by the guy who now runs kegland?

I googled boiler lid with 60mm hole and after a few clicks got a result that was in stock. Try it. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

From my understanding the two blokes went there separate ways and keg land now deliver a much better product than keg king. If you want to buy cheap shit you will get burnt every time on the quality.
