Wish me luck

Postby Jimmy1 » Wed Aug 03, 2011 5:15 pm

Just letting you guys no I'm doing my first all grain. Wish me luck :) I've steeped grains but never the whole hog, its a "fat tyre amber ale" which I'm told is a realy easy drinking beer :D :D and I love the sound of that. Any tips would be appreciated so I dont stuff it up.

I'm a month into it after 30 years of K&K and fukin loving it.

You'll never look back.

Don't listen to that bullshit about don't drink while you're brewing it's impossible.  And rude to the beer. :ugeek:

Top tip from me is to download Brewmate. it's free and gives you step by step in the brewday apge.

I haven't even tasted the end results and I think I'm hooked.
You want some good aroma hops get some nelson sauvin, I used them in a Coopers Vintage Ale and the smell was coming out of the bubbler the whole fermenting process. Should be ready to sample in a week or two :)

If you want strong hops go for the "Galaxy" they are out of control.
