Has anyone used the gastite or kenetic fittings from bunnings from the RC and PC?

Yep I do but going to ditch them. The work fine with a powerful pump 700w ozito submersible as an example apparently, but with a smaller pump and smaller rc I struggle to get full reflux.. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I will just reuse some of my silicon hoses then which I bought and never used for my old car! least I know its good for the temp and will flow the volume needed (those lines just look so much nicer!)

There is also a "premium" range of braided hoses at bunnings as well, but even that is only a 10mm bore.

I noticed a "stop kink" hose for your tap over in the lawn care / hose isle of bunnings.
Its a short length of garden hose enclosed within a long compression spring, has fittings that screw on to your tap and connect to your hose.
Could either try that on your cooling lines or make something similar.

I use the 19mm irrigation hoses and a 350w submersible pump. You can get the 19 mm barbed to thread elbow. Works a treat.

Just searching on the web the 3/4" ones have 12mm bore. May do the trick just put a reducing nipple on.. :handgestures-thumbupleft: I might do the same..

Thats why I got rid of mine after db1979 explained it all to me now I can hold full reflux all day long with better hoses

That's the hose I was thinking of. Those connectors look awesome what are they? Are they a fast dissconects of some kind?
Or maybe garden hose brass fittings?

Brass garden hose fittings I chose these ones because of the twin o-ring for security.
I found the plastics ones go brittle after a while and just fell apart.

The twin ring ones look like they have better security however I noticed the fitting when clicked in wobbled more than the Pope version :-B

:text-+1: All I use and have been great,swaps too the mains tap easy as for emergency runs when your recirc system may fail mid run and a quick solution is needed,with quality hose not the cheap shit.cheers hillzabilly :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: on brass fittings and a decent hose. Haven't had any issues and I use just a 65w solar recirculating pump which is more than adequate.

Brass fittings look the goods.

How much flow are people using? I see alot of people do the 700W ozito pump which is alot of flow

Love this set up, can you tell me what the Y fittings are there, my eyes are failing a bit! Also do you run 2 pumps or the 750W submersible deals with both condensers when in reflux?
I'm assuming this is all standard 12/13mm garden hose size?

I went with the caravan drinking water hose from Bunnings with an internal diam of 12mm

The pump puts out 90% of the flow as my garden tap and easily holds full reflux. These pumps don't like restrictions in the plumbing but handle the 12mm over 15m of garden hose.

Sorry mate I should have said the fittings themselves, I understand the flows just couldn't see what the fittings were exactly, I'm not sure where to start looking for these type?
