Jedstar has levelled up

Hi Guys,

I have been quiet on here for a couple of months or so, really just plodding along and mastering my pot still, but grew tied of having to run everything twice. Weeeeell, as a result here is the new obsession, ran a sacrificial yesterday and my first vodka wash today and I am having a ball. Some good coaching from the Andrew at 5 Star and I had this beast mostly under control pretty soon into the deal. Like all things easy to get the basics a lifetime to master. Absolutely loved the waterfall show at the end of the run with the packed section lets go of its water, that was very pretty. Next is change configuration and do a rum wash. No doubt I'll be more active on the forum again asking many questions now I have begun a new chapter in distilling. Cheers

Further to levelling up with a new FSD SUPER STILL, a super still needs a super dedicated place of worship to make offerings to Oden. This is my journey so far, budget started at 5K and is now at a eye watering 18K and still have the p[lumbers to go. Hey you cant put a price on an obsession.

Looks fantastic mate.
I left my floor bare, it means any spills soak right in. Of course every time I see the mark it leaves I am reminded to not do something so stupid again. It works and of course I go and do a different kind of stupid next time :)

I used concrete paint, never again, lethal when wet it is slicker than ice.

That's why it is suggested to sprinkle the paint flakes or sand on top while it is still wet and you wont get that super slippery finish. A total non slip can be like trying to mop Velcro that's why I prefer the flakes and they make the finish quite decorative.

Slowly so very slowly I am moving forward with the project, plumbers have completed & I gave the old boilermakers bench some serious love. Landscaping commences tomorrow and the patio roof should also be completed.

Thx Wellsy,

Wife and I are pretty excited where this is heading, today the blue metal gravel was wacka packed into the sub straight, next up date should be completion of patio roof, painting & a few creature comforts like a a lounge & a TV with some out door furniture and bar. Further landscaping down the track.

Amazing how many people comment on the BBQ but it lives in a distillery of course its on the piss :))

Here is the AC unit going in, fridge and TV purchased and to be installed after the tradies are done.

@Stig this got me thinking, there seems to be no dedicated section for people to tell about there their stilling space, I imagine there would be some interesting configurations, rooms, spaces set ups, maybe a Distillery set up/space folder is in order?

Maybe other could gather ideas and inspiration via such a page, just a thought.

Cheers
